Provide a git mirror of each svn repo

Created: 02/Mar/09 04:33 PM   Updated: 17/Apr/09 09:19 AM
Component/s: SVN Repository
Affects Version/s: None
Fix Version/s: Git Integration

 Description  « Hide
This is more for Phase 4 or 5 but GIT greatly promotes folks spinning up their own repos and submitting patches back; so while folks can figure this stuff out themselves, it might promote contributions back if we made it super easy for folks to create their own GIT repositories from our SVN to host their own patches and then submit them back

FWIW if we move the projects to git this issue is redundant

FWIW mirroring an SVN repo is kinda trivial to do, so this is a pretty minor issue. I managed to figure out how to mirror Guice svn for example using these instructions

http://www.fnokd.com/2008/08/20/mirroring-svn-repository-to-github/

the trick btw - after running all of these steps is - to see the SVN branches do

git branch -a
