Metric Data - Selection of 'Disable Collection' button, to display a message, when collection interval is "NONE"

Created: 25/Sep/09 09:34 AM   Updated: 21/Sep/10 01:06 PM
Component/s: UI, Usability
Affects Version/s: 4.1 - beta
Fix Version/s: Hyperic UI issues

Environment: win32,iev7

 Description  « Hide
Selecting a metric whose "Collection Interval" is "NONE" and clicking the "DISABLE COLLECTION" button, does not display any message.

Steps to Reporduce:

In the Health screen of a resource,

1. Select "METRIC DATA" tab .
2. Select a metric whose "Collection Interval" shows "NONE".
3. Select " DISABLE COLLECTION" button.
4. No message is displayed.

It would be appropriate if a message stating "it is already disabled" is displayed.

Also maybe the 'Disable Collection' link itself should be disable when none of the selected metrics in the collection has No interval.

possibly defer to 4.1.1?

Agreed.
The approach we should take is to treat all "Hyperic HQ" bugs as P2/P3s and concentrate on "Progress owned code".
