Hi All,

There is an enhancement in Camel 2.9.0 that greatly improves the performance of Camel in request/reply use cases where the clients are using named reply queues. This enhancement would be a valuable update for all those using AMQ 5.5.1 and ESB 4.4.1. I know of at least one customer that would benefit greatly from this enhancement.

Please let me know if there are concerns with this or if it isn't possible.

Scott, you are aware of the cluster limitations mentioned about the exclusive replyTo at the Camel jms wiki page

This is great if it can be backported. We are looking at some significant improvement when using the 2.9.x APIs with this enhancement over the 2.8.x APIs.

Yes. We are using shared queues per instance of the application.

I have attached a camel-jms JAR that has this improvement merged.

If you for example use the latest Fuse MR 2.8 release, 2.8.0-fuse-03-06, then you can possible just
renamed this -SNAPSHOT JAR as that version, and use it as a drop in replacement.

Then you should have the replyToType option you can configure, accordingly to documentation at

There is a new 2.8 SNAPSHOT published to the fuse snapshot repo. For example the camel-jms from today is at
http://repo.fusesource.com/nexus/content/groups/public-snapshots/org/apache/camel/camel-jms/2.8.x-fuse-SNAPSHOT/
