Save the Date: Enterprise Users of Open Source Integration and Messaging to Converge in Boston for CamelOne, May 15-18, 2012

FuseSource will again host CamelOne, the definitive event for technology professionals who want to share ideas and lessons learned in successful enterprise integration projects

BEDFORD, Mass. – February 1, 2012 – FuseSource Corp., experts in open source integration and messaging, today announced that CamelOne – the only event designed for enterprise users of open source integration and messaging – will be held in Boston, Massachusetts from May 15-18, 2012 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel. Designed to provide software developers, architects and information technology professionals with an opportunity to share ideas and lessons learned in successful private and public sector integration projects, the 2012 event builds on the inaugural CamelOne held last year.

“We created CamelOne to provide attendees with an opportunity not only to learn from successful enterprise deployments, but also from the leading innovators in the field – all with the goal of providing them with everything they need to achieve integration everywhere,” said Rob Davies, CTO of FuseSource and co-founder of Apache Software Foundation projects Apache ServiceMix, Apache ActiveMQ and Apache Camel. “Today’s business imperatives require a level of integration and messaging prowess unimaginable even a few years ago. CamelOne addresses that reality and the ability open source gives enterprises to integrate systems, applications, machines and devices in ways not otherwise possible – not to mention the chance to enjoy the company of great colleagues in a great city.”

All interested IT professionals, technology providers and members of the open source community are invited to attend CamelOne. The 2012 event will include numerous educational sessions, panel discussions and presentations by leading technology and integration and messaging experts.

Additional details, including keynote presenters, will be announced shortly. Gregor Hohpe, staff software engineer at Google and author of Enterprise Integration Patterns and James Strachan, software fellow at FuseSource and co-founder of Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Camel and Apache ServiceMix; gave keynote presentations at the inaugural CamelOne.

In addition, some of the many session leaders at last year’s CamelOne included Claus Ibsen, principal software engineer at FuseSource, and co-author of Camel in Action with John Anstey, also a principal software engineer at FuseSource; Linda Chen of the Federal Aviation Administration Mike Laney, senior enterprise architect in the CTO Group at Sabre Holdings; Aaron Mulder, committer to Apache Camel and CTO at Chariot Solutions; and Keith Babo, senior software developer at Red Hat.

“If you can only attend one event this year, make it this one,” said Ibsen, who will again present at CamelOne. “Even one lesson learned will make the trip worth the time and effort for your enterprise. This is one event you don’t want to miss.”
