FuseSource Invites Enterprise IT Professionals to View Videos of Sessions Given by Open Source Integration Experts at CamelOne 2012
Sessions from leading integration experts provide software developers, architects and DevOps professionals with an insiders’ view of how to integrate applications, systems, machines and devices in new ways
BEDFORD, Mass. – June 12, 2012 – FuseSource Corp., the Integration Everywhere company, today invited enterprise information technology (IT) professionals to view videos of the more than 30 informational sessions given by the world’s leading integration experts at CamelOne 2012, held May 15-16, 2012 in Boston. This year’s presenters included founders and committers to Apache Software Foundation projects Apache ServiceMix, ActiveMQ, Camel, and CXF and other well-known experts, including integration leaders at numerous FuseSource customers, including the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), General Dynamics, Lynden Inc., the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Volpe Center and the University of California, Berkeley.
CamelOne is the only event designed for enterprise users of open source integration and messaging technologies. Attendance at this year’s conference nearly doubled over last year as more enterprises work to achieve the Integration Everywhere required for applications, systems, devices and machines to work together in new ways. The new reality presented by cloud computing, Big Data, and the demand for real-time access to information increasingly requires enterprises to embrace enterprise-class open source solutions that address the shortcomings of closed-source technologies and traditional licensing schemes designed to work with hub-and-spoke architectures – not the elastic and evolving infrastructure needed today.
FuseSource provides enterprise-class integration (download) and messaging (download) platforms and services. No other company employs more founders or committers to Apache Software Foundation integration and messaging projects.
“Many attendees told us that the hardest part of CamelOne 2012 was deciding which sessions to attend,” said Larry Alston president of FuseSource. “Available to everyone on-demand, these videos now make it possible for those who missed specific sessions, or couldn’t attend CamelOne, to benefit from the same best practices and case studies shared by the experts. We expect the videos, and the presentations which are available for download, to be a valuable long-term resource for developers, architects and DevOps managers.”
The videos, which simultaneously allow viewers to watch both the speaker and their presentation on screen, can be viewed at by clicking the speaker tab at www.camelone.com. Many of the available videos include FuseSource customers’ success stories such as:
- Tracking Real-Time Weather, Big Data, Camel – The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Volpe Center
- General Dynamics Canada’s Rapid Technology Integration Framework – General Dynamics Canada
- Building a Reliable Messaging System for an Unreliable (and Diverse) World – Lynden Inc.
- Large Scale Messaging with ActiveMQ for Particle Accelerators at CERN – CERN
- A Hundred Departments, Same Integration Solution – University of California, Berkeley
- Deploying Apache ActiveMQ for Scalability and Reliability – Rob Davies, CTO of FuseSource and co-founder of Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Camel and Apache ServiceMix
- Large Scale Deployments of Apache Camel in the Cloud – James Strachan, software fellow at FuseSource and co-founder of Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Camel and Apache ServiceMix
- What is Big Data Analytics and Hadoop and How Apache ActiveMQ Plays an Important Role – Douglas Moore, principal consultant and architect at Think Big Analytics
- Integration as a Service with Apache Camel – Keith Babo, core developer JBoss division of Red Hat
- Apache CXF: Leveraging New Features – Dan Kulp, Apache Software Foundation
Those looking for resources and expert advice on integration are also invited to attend FuseSource’s complimentary FuseDay events and seminars held throughout the year and around the world. The events offer a fun and casual opportunity to learn from the experts. There is no cost to attend. FuseDay events this month will be held in Chile (Santiago), Ecuador (Quito), Denmark (Copenhagen), Norway (Oslo) and Sweden (Stockholm).
