Logisticx Demo

The Logisticx demo aims to demonstrate the capabilities of the FUSE suite of products. It is focused on addressing use cases that customers have requested and sets out to showcase the capabilities of FUSE Message Broker, FUSE Mediation Router, and FUSE Services Framework, as deployed on FUSE ESB.

Use Cases To Be Addressed

Logisticx: A Systems Integration Challenge

Logisticx is a fictitious company that provides supply-chain management services, such as warehousing, inventory management, and shipping, to a range of globally distributed customers. In order to meet the systems integration challenges of such a business model, Logisticx uses FUSE ESB.

FUSE ESB gives Logisticx the flexibility to integrate two endpoints no matter what protocol or data format is needed. Using the components in the FUSE suite of products provides the technology platform for all Logisticx' customer-facing needs as well as its own back-end management, monitoring, and services.

Note that not everything in the diagram above has been implemented yet. See the sections below for a more detailed explanation.

The Client Side

The client-side represents customers who use Logisticx services. It comprises a Web application that runs on the user's computer and that is accessible via a Web browser.

The Server Side

The server-side represents the Logisticx business. This is composed of two applications: an integration platform and a Web application.

The Supplier Side

The supplier side is all about integrating the Logisticx platform with its suppliers.
